Istanbul: the city where antiquity meets modernity; streets where travelers mingle with locals in shops & cafes. Home to the famous Sultan Ahmed “Blue” Mosque (1616AD) & the world’s first mega church, the Hagia Sophia (537AD), later converted into a mosque and now a museum. But this is only the beginning of what can be discovered within a labyrinth of streets and along the shores of the Bosphorus Strait & Sea of Marmara.
The city is charming, food tasty, shopping plentiful, and the people hospitable. I highly recommend a visit to Istanbul be added to your bucket list.
